Within the workshop, the students of the Master in Product Design Paula Castillón, Chiara Tussie and Sonia Redon, in collaboration with Ichendorf, designed “Tipsy”, a collection intentionally shaped and designed to emphasise moments of shared connection.
Drawing inspiration from the blend of traditions and typical practices of their respective cultures, students have conceived three distinct objects: a water carafe, a wine carafe, and three types of glasses – one for water, one for wine, and the last for digestives. The collection’s design serves as a visual representation of the ease and comfort experienced during shared moments.

The core of the collection revolves around the carafes, featuring handles designed to ensure a comfortable grip during tilting and a base with a distinctive indentation, a feature that is then found in every component of the collection. The glasses, in turn, accompany various meal stages: the water glass signifies the beginning, the wine glass expresses a growing sense of comfort, and the digestive glass underscores the conclusion, preserving authentic moments of warmth. The goal is to infuse a relaxed atmosphere of joy, drawing inspiration from the relaxed posture of the pitchers at the end of the meal.
The overall purpose is to add a touch of playfulness and offer an innovative serving experience, transforming the act of pouring into a timeless and universal product capable of transcending cultural boundaries. In essence, Tipsy aims to symbolise the intrinsic beauty of sharing.
The project was presented at Maison&Objet 2024 in Paris this January.
