Within the Design of Space workshop, the students of the Master in Interior & Living Design Abhishek Bohra, Berk Oztekin and Sai Manasa Kothakota, designed “Timeless Tales of La Scala”, an exhibition that presents a preview of one of the performances scheduled at Teatro La Scala.
The exhibition aims to craft an unforgettable and enchanting encounter, celebrating the timelessness legacy of the theatre and its impact on the realm of performing arts. Initially tested with the ballet “Swan Lake,” this exhibition unfolds as a curated journey, guiding visitors through distinct sections with specific purposes.

The design features interactive displays, offering insights into the ballet’s history, the significance of Teatro La Scala, and the ambiance of “Swan Lake.” Noteworthy performers like Rudolf Nureyev and Carla Fracci are showcased through costume displays. Visitors can navigate through a wealth of information, videos, and images. The immersive boxes emphasise a multi-dimensional experience, incorporating virtual reality and multi-sensory technology. A multi-dimensional tunnel adds an engaging layer, involving visitors in activities and serving as a transitional space leading to the costume display section.
In this instance, the project preserves the legacy of Rudolf Nureyev’s “Swan Lake,” providing an opportunity for visitors to interact with its mystical and elegant elements. The exhibition concept holds the potential for adaptation with other iconic performances (ballet, opera, or theatre) featured at La Scala, offering a more expansive and enriching cultural experience.
