The project propose to collect plastic waste from municipalities, landfills and landscapes and use the PET Bottles, plastic bags and wrappers to craft the carpets.
The most important role is held by the artisans, who would be crafting the carpets and in return would be getting financial support and empowerment. In addition, Saar project propose to donate floor covering, made with plastic waste, to homeless people in India.
This Project has been selected as a finalist for the Roplastic Prize 2023.
