As part of the Envisioning Workshop, Domus Academy students from the Master in Interior & Living Design, Shivangi Aggarwal, Ching Tung Givy Lee and Chang Tzu-Min, designed a new phygital office platform for a fashion brand, for the better communication and productivity in the working environment, developing the project Blank Maison.
In Blank Maison, the idea was to create a space that is flexible and blank where the textiles and technology are the key feature and life of the space which is a blank canvas. The space is designed in a sustainable way with the help of XR technology and a flexible transformation infrastructure, so that the runway show, and the preparation work can be held either physically or virtually within the office, in order to save costs and resources. Guests and buyers can also view collections immersively from anywhere, causing less environment impact.

The front stage of the office space is an open space seen as a blank canvas with a neutral interior space with the integration of some green spaces in between for partition and transitional space. To design a unique space that transforms to fit all sorts of everyday operation and events, the Runway System can be programmed into various furniture and infrastructures, suitable for different scenarios, such as workstations, meetings, collection buying and presentations.
With the project Blank Maison the students envisioned a sustainable and flexible work environment, creating a versatile space always blank, open to endless possibilities by adapting to changing needs.
