During the pandemic most of activities that we used to carry out in fixed places, have been readapted to be done inside the house. Traditionally, our homes are designed in order to each room corresponds to a specific activity such as sleep, eat, relax or cook. To perform the new activities within a housing environment, we would need always larger homes.
During the Envisioning Design workshop, Raphael Cottier designed “15 Minutes of”, an effective alternative to the problem of space housing. The project is an attempt to create a space that can adapt to the needs and activities of inhabitants.

He designed several interchangeable modules that can be easily applied to a wall. Each module contains the necessities for carrying out different activities, as smart working, workout, chill out up to a small version of your favorite restaurant.
Thanks to their standard dimensions, each of these stations can be swapped and replaced with another without needing additional space, and they can also be connected to water, waste and electricity.
This project establishes a new relationship between activities and those who do them, allowing for a rethinking about home space based on what actually needs permanent placement and what can be replaced instead.
