Wallpaper* Magazine 2023 Design Awards

Christophe Pillet was awarded in the Best Outdoor Lounge for Costiera sofa designed for Ethimo, while Niko Koronis was awarded in the Best Construction category for his CSQ console, from Carpenters Workshop Gallery.

Christophe Pillet graduated from the Decorative Arts School in Nice in 1985. He awarded his Master in Product Design from Domus Academy in 1986, and became part of the Memphis group (as an assistant to Martine Bedin and Michele De Lucchi). In Paris he was involved in the development of the Starck agency. In 1993 he created his own agency. In the same year he was nominated Designer of the Year at the Salon du Meuble de Paris.

Niko Koronis graduated in architecture from the Welsh School of Architecture, where a year later he did his Master degree in Environmental Design of Buildings. He then moved to Milan, where he attended Domus Academy and obtained the Master in Design with distinction. He spent a year as the Master’s Design Tutor, after which he studied for his Phd in Architecture at the Architectural Association in London. He has taught, lectured and undertaken research in architecture, urban and product design in several universities throughout the world and has taken part in several exhibitions, amongst which the Venice Biennale and the Triennale di Milano. He is currently visiting professor in Domus Academy.
