“Being born into a land of vibrant colors and multiple cultures, I was always intrigued by the wide variety of fashion in my country even when I was a kid. The diverse design sensibilities drawn from Indian fashion traditions have played an important part in showcasing our culture to the world. My mother, who was a tailor, eventually propelled my passion for the world of apparel by inspiring me through her own innovative and contemporary works. Despite being not trained professionally her fashion sense astonished me whenever she used to design clothes for me. It didn’t take much time for the budding designer in me to ignite a craving to explore the world of fashion at an international level. I wanted to be an inspiration to those in my hometown who can only dream of a career in fashion due to social barriers through my success in the fashion industry. This motivated me to follow my passion and push the boundaries. After finishing my bachelor’s in fashion from one of the reputed institutions in India with a distinction, I was affirmative that only Milan, which is the fashion capitals in the world, could do justice to my journey toward excellence. This led me to pursue Domus Academy for the Master in Fashion Management Programme.”

Even the journey of leaving my whole comfort zone behind and starting all over again in a foreign land was a challenge in itself, the passion I had for my dreams and the spirit of a non-quitter pushed me to accept that challenge. I could say that the post-graduation journey with Domus Academy helped me not only to achieve academic brilliance but also to shape my mind to look beyond constrained traditional ideas. It offered me an entirely new outlook on my craft and helped to open a new chapter in fashion management. I am quite sure that the opportunities for cultural exchange I got during this course of time have enhanced my work immensely.”
“A whole new culture, new friends, new environment, and all those places I visited in Europe offered numerous challenges which eventually helped me to broaden my horizon. I got several opportunities to attend various workshops which really helped to chisel my skillsets. Participating in those workshops along with my teammates and mentors has proven to be worthwhile as it could enhance my professional calibers to a great extent. Since these workshops also catered to our personal development rather than just the career prospectives those experiences are something that I could cherish for a lifetime. Life in Domus Academy allowed me to expand my expertise in brand management and fashion buying immensely.
My first day in Domus Academy seemed like it had just happened yesterday as I never had a dull moment being a student there. When I proudly reflect back on my entire journey here, I can only think about the good time I had, both professionally and personally. Words are not enough to express my gratefulness towards Domus Academy as I have finally achieved my dream as this chapter comes to an end.”
