We are delighted that the project Tipsy made by our Product Design students Paula Castillón, Chiara Tussie and Sonia Redon has been exhibited at this year edition of Maison&Objet, a major French trade fair amongst the 3 most important European events for interior design.
Students conceived Tipsy in the frame of the Advanced Design and Processes workshop at Domus Academy, run in collaboration with Ichendorf Milano last May.

Tipsy is a collection whose forms and functionalities are designed to highlight moments of sharing, inspired by the fusion of traditions and typical customs of each originating cultures of the designers that created the project. They have explored an intercultural need and new gestures to share time, stories, and convivial moments. The Tipsy collection successfully translates the act of drinking into Italian design, with ironic, poetic, and creative perspectives. Tipsy is a metaphor for the leisure and relaxation that occur during the ritual of consuming food and drinks.
Tipsy is characterised by the rounded and colorful base of various items – tumblers, shots, long drinks, cups, and pitchers. The line has been created with Borosilicate glass, worked with a flame and shaped by hand and it is suitable for both informal and formal tables, making simplicity its distinctive feature.
The project has been acquired by Ichendorf to enter amongst its collections.
