Derek will have the chance to feature an outfit on 19th September during fashion show that will open the Milan Fashion Week, one of the most important event for designers and fashion industry professionals globally.

Derek will have the chance to feature an outfit on 19th September during fashion show that will open the Milan Fashion Week, one of the most important event for designers and fashion industry professionals globally.
Derek Nahakpam has developed an outfit focusing on zippers provided by YKK, fastening products leading industry worldwide and amongst the main partners of the event. Derek draws inspiration from his personal growing process and on the concept of ‘irregularity’, how perfection could be found in the imperfection, depending on the point of view and on personal perception of the world.
Since 2015, Milano Moda Graduate project, celebrates and promotes the excellence of Italian fashion schools nationally and internationally.
The stunning frame of Sala delle Cariatidi at Palazzo Reale has been chosen to host the Milano Moda Graduate Fashion Show in its 8th edition, where students of the most renowned Italian fashion schools have the chance to feature their collections in front of the public and an esteemed jury consisting of fashion experts. The jury will eventually select one winner for each category who will be granted a prize.
