Next Urban Landscapes: Datum and Resiliency
Alcova, space E16, Via Saint Bon 1, Milan
‘Next Urban Landscapes: Datum and Resiliency’ is the exhibition of projects related to the 21st-century city investigating the stratum above or beside existing urban buildings or city fabric. Students envisioned new components rethinking living spaces and their functions through a process of hybridisation. Private ownership, use of shared and public space are questioned. All projects acknowledge current and future technological potential, which may be mediated, controlled or resisted.

The Roundabout: Design With Nature
Largo delle Culture/Roundabout Via Bergognone, Milan
In collaboration with Tortona Design Week, Domus Academy presents Completing the Fragments of Nature, winner project of the contest ‘The Roundabout: Design with Nature’. It is an Augmented Reality installation conceived by the students from the Master in Product Design, Interior & Living Design, Urban Vision & Architectural Design, Interaction Design and Service Design. It expands the nature fully covering the road that surrounds the roundabout, thanks to the AR technology, providing a unique experience of being immersed in the environment, and interacting with it. The roundabout will become a new urban garden, an installation that will combine nature, design and technology. In addition, the students designed bespoke furniture to enjoy the physical and digital scenario.
