Design for Emergency is a set of initiatives they are launching to face the COVID-19 emergency through design.
The initiative is an international call for designers and universities worldwide.
It consists in collecting on an open online platform all the information on the experiences of people living in the areas affected by coronavirus.
The aim is to understand how their habits are changing as well as their fears, their problems and their hopes in this moment.
The goal is to try to rapidly create new solutions to address the specific issues of people facing this emergency, to entertain, connect and support in a new way individuals and communities.

All the ideas sent are published on the platform in open mode, with a Creative Commons license and accessible to anyone who wants to develop, implement, and disseminate them.
Students from Domus Academy joined this initiative through a workshop. The class was dedicated to intake students from the Master’s in Visual and Brand Design, Master’s in Interaction Design, Master’s in Service Design and Master’s in Business Design.
They participate in the realization of projects’ concepts for the emergency. The ideas will be proposed as concepts of new potential solutions (e.g. services, apps, websites, initiatives, networks, games, etc.), capable of performing one or more of the following functions: to connect, to support, to entertain, to inform, to organize, to prevent.
