Vincent Van Duysen, Belgian architect and current creative director of Molteni&C|Dada, founded his studio Vincent Van Duysen Architects in 1990.
His works range from product design for numerous international brands to large-scale architectural projects, in particular luxury residences in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the United States.
A definite relationship between architecture, interiors and product design was the driving force behind the conception of projects inspired by subtle transitions between these disciplines and combined with a particular concept of space, in the constant search for essence.

Functionality, durability and comfort are the main components of his projects; an architectural language with aesthetic elements but not linked to fashions and trends.
During his career, Van Duysen has received numerous awards including the Flemish Culture Award for Design, Belgian Designer of the Year and the Henry van de Velde Lifetime Achievement Award. His name was included several times in the AD100 survey by Architectural Digest magazine.
From 2018 to 2020 he held the role of art director at Sahco for Kvadrat.
Interviewed by Caterina Lunghi and a selected group of students, he will talk about his approach to design and his projects.
The talk is part of the “Disrupting Patterns” series, multidisciplinary and innovation-oriented open lectures that deal with various topics related to design, deepening them with the desire for research, contemporary processes and future themes.
The lecture will be held at 5:30 PM CET on Wednesday 25th of November 2020. The event is open to the public and free.
