Italian Pavilion 2021 talk
Elisa Poli – Domus Academy Programme Leader of the Master’s in Urban Vision & Architectural Design – and Aoi Hasegawa – Domus Academy Programme Leader of the Master’s in Product Design and Interior & Living Design – will present the projects with their students.
Students have worked on the theme of Roofs proposing projects and scenarios, which include three different dimensions: urban & architectural design, interior design and product design.
In 2019, the Italian Pavillion proposed to investigate the topic of “resilient communities”; but in the last months the whole concept of society has been radically transformed by the pandemic situation. Distance and proximity, space and contact, obligation and desire are just some of the many dichotomies that are now part of the project for the near future. Desire for freedom is now stronger than ever. Domus Academy students have worked on the space most coveted by men: the sky, and the platform that connects us to it: the roof.

Talk moderated by Elisa Poli with prestigious speakers: Mark Anderson – Domus Academy Director of Education, Claudia Mainardi and Alessandro Bonizzoni- architects and researchers at Fosbury Design, Dante Donegani – architect and designer, Manfredo di Robilant – professor and architect at DAR-Architettura.

From 1pm to 3.30 pm the digital exhibition of students projects will be shown inside the Italian Pavilion.
