Alumni projects across Milan Design Week 2023
We are glad to see our alumni spreading creativity and design on the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2023! Check out their projects at the following exhibitions around the city of Milan:
Caterina Fratino at CIRCOLARE – Isola Design District
Piazza Città di Lombardia, 23
18- 23 April 2023, from 11 am to 6 pm
Hosted in the scenographic covered square of the Regione Lombardia, Circolare exhibition features projects focused on materials and design with a minimum environmental impact in terms of production.
Caterina Fratino will showcase ‘Pittoresco’, a modular biodegradable food container system made of malt waste, to promote territory and local resources. Combining the malt waste with organic glue, Caterina Fratino designed food containers that can be reused over a long period.
The project has been also selected as finalist for the RoPlastic Prize 2023.

Team aaa at TAKE CARE! OF YOUR MIND, BODY AND ENVIRONMENT

Yeonsu Lee, Ji-Youn Woo and Mingyeong Lee met at Domus Academy while they were attending the Master in Urban Vision & Architectural Design and Master in Product Design. Willing to build their own meaning through design, they founded Team aaa. The team name is derived from adventurous, affectionate, and aesthetic. It expresses the approach to design of three creators who want to follow their own aesthetics through an adventurous way but with an affectionate eye looking at the world.
Wiggle Wiggle is a modular furniture that can change its shape according to the user’s purpose. Through the process of assembly using simple components, users can have an intimate relationship with furniture and enjoy the pleasure of creating their own shapes and combinations.
Alessandra Baldereschi at Dilmos Gallery, Brera Officina and Rho Fiera Milano
Born in Milan in 1975, she received her Master in Industrial Design at Domus Academy in 2000.
Her background in Fine Arts still informs her practice, as she conceives a project as images.
She loves embellishing a straightforward form, her activity spans from accessories and fashion design to light and furniture design. She is a talented story-teller and she often refers to natural elements in her work.
At the Milan Design Week 2023, she will present a new collection for Dilmos Gallery, via San Marco 1 Milan, a new wallpaper collection for Styl’ editions at Brera Officina, via Cavallotti 13 Milan and products for Bosa and Ichendorf Milano at Rho Fiera Milano.
