Domus Academy will host collective practice Fosbury Architecture during the next Open Talk on 8th February.
Fosbury Architecture will discuss about their recent appointment as curator of the Italian Pavilion at the 18th Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia curated by Lesley Lokko and will give insights about their research.
Fosbury Architecture is a Milan-based architectural office founded in 2013 by Giacomo Ardesio, Alessandro Bonizzoni, Nicola Campri, Veronica Caprino and Claudia Mainardi.
Aiming at expanding the boundaries of the discipline, redefining its role and rethinking its production processes in the perspective of current challenges, Fosbury Architecture practice and research ranging from urban strategies, reuse of existing buildings, temporary installations, exhibition design, publishing projects, curatorial activities and educational programmes.
Fosbury Architecture took part in many Architecture Biennials, curated several international projects and was included in numerous group shows in institution and museums around the world such as La Triennale Milano, Magazin in Vienna, RIBA Gallery in London, Onassis Center in Athens, the British School in Rome, Centro Pecci in Prato, ADI Design Museum in Milan.
Their work was awarded in several national and international competitions, including Europan13 in Leeuwarden, the Museum of Natural Sciences in Turin, YAC in Bologna and Recycling Socialism at Tallinn Architecture Biennial. They curated with Alterazioni Video the book Incompiuto: The Birth of a Style (2018), supported by MIBACT and awarded with an honorable mention in the 2020 edition of the Compasso d’Oro.
Fosbury Architecture is lecturer at Domus Academy and has organized several international workshops.
